Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House is a community-based organisation that provides a range of programs and services aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the local community. We offer numerous opportunities for community engagement, bringing people from all walks of life together to learn new skills, share experiences and create lasting friendships. Our programs include fitness classes, craft workshops, social activities, community events, and more.
Our core objective is to help individuals thrive and empower them to become active and engaged members of their community. By providing an inclusive and supportive environment, we are creating opportunities for people to connect and benefit their overall health and wellbeing.
Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House is managed by a team of dedicated and friendly staff. The day-to-day operations of the neighbourhood house are overseen by our manager, Joanne. Rohanne and Sophie provide valuable centre and program support under Joanne’s guidance.
In addition to our staff, we are fortunate to have a group of fantastic volunteers who assist with various activities and events, contributing to the smooth running of Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House.

President
Max Ervin, a retired civil engineer residing in Mount Eliza, brings his experience serving on Commercial and Not-for-Profit Boards, including roles as a member and as Chairman. With a wealth of experience, Max is enthusiastic about utilising his expertise to contribute to the community now that he is in retirement.
Vice President
Rosemarie is driven by a passion for transforming and innovating communities, evident in her delivery of outstanding community projects and robust infrastructure development. With 15+ years of local government experience and a commercial background, she has demonstrated strong political acumen. Her focus on creating meaningful community connections and innovative programming has made a significant impact on community development and engagement.
Secretary
Gillian Humphreys (Tong), who spent her childhood in Mount Eliza, has a strong family connection to MENH through her father, Ted Humphreys, who served as a treasurer for Mount Eliza Community Contact. Actively engaged with Mount Eliza Anglican Church, Gillian is deeply passionate about aiding individuals and community endeavours, showcasing her commitment to the welfare of others and her local community.

Suzannah Gilardi became a member at MENH in late 2023, seeking meaningful connections within her community after moving from Mentone to the Peninsula. By day, she serves as a local Financial Planner and Lending Adviser, driven by her passion for enhancing financial well-being and helping people achieve their financial goals. Suzannah cherishes moments with family, friends, and the outdoors and is open to new connections.

Pia, a resident of Mount Martha, embraces the vibrant community spirit of the Mornington Peninsula. With two children in primary school in Mount Eliza, Pia is actively involved in the local community, including running her daughter’s netball club and joining the MENH board. With 20 years of experience in the property industry, Pia is a Certified Practising Valuer, and holds a Bachelor of Business (Property).

Andrea, an Australian resident since 1981, brings a diverse educational background and career experience—from consulting to serving as the MP for Frankston. With a passion for community engagement, Andrea now focuses on sharing her knowledge through giving talks, particularly on Agatha Christie and Shakespeare. Living in Mount Eliza, she remains an avid reader, traveller, and active contributor to her local community.
